Mission To enhance the knowledge and provide resources and support for research in the areas of child maltreatment and child welfare.
Goals Child Welfare Research Goals - To conduct research evaluating the effects of alternative methods of providing child welfare services on children, caregivers, families and the child welfare system.
- To conduct research on the factors related to child maltreatment
- To provide research methodology and statistical consultation to researchers from local and regional private and public agencies.
- To develop a center website to disseminate finds, including descriptions of ongoing projects and reports available from the center.
Research Support Goals - To support writing proposals for research funding, including:
- Consultation on research methodology, statistical analyses, and other areas as needed.
- Administrative support for proposal writing, such as formatting of proposals, copying, routing, and preparing budgets.
- To support faculty and doctoral students conducting research, including:
- Database management, data entry and cleaning
- Planning, performing and interpreting data analyses
